Happy Thursday friends!
Today I’m sharing one of my favourite cozy winter looks on the blog! This outfit is so simple, but so versatile at the same time. It’s perfect for a walk in the snow, a cute hot chocolate date, or to the holiday parade in your city (one of my favourite winter activities)! It’s super easy to recreate with things you already have at home which is why I love it so much!
Starting with my accessories (because accessories are my fav!), my purse is from Kate Spade and is one of my favourite bags! It’s the perfect size to hold everything you need, and it adds a nice feminine pop with the bow. This style is no longer available, but you can find a similar one here.
My scarf is from Aritzia, and I love it because it’s the perfect colour for all the pale ladies out there like me. It’s a bit hard to see in the photo, but the plaid pattern is made with navy, deep purple, cream, and white, which is really unique as far as scarves go. If you’re in the market for a scarf, Aritzia never disappoints!
My boots are a bit of a funny story. I saw them in a little boutique last year and they were on sale for a ridiculously good deal for leather boots, something like $55. They were one size too small in the calves, but I was determined to make these boots work for me. For the first 3 months that I had them, I fought every morning to get the zipper done up and I could barely feel my feet at the end of the day. But, it was not all in vain as they now fit me perfectly and are my favourite shoes for the fall/winter. The moral of the story is to pick your battles, and luckily I picked this one well 😉
During my undergrad I had the same coat for all 4 years, so I decided it was time for an update this season. I choose this plum wrap coat because a) I’m trying to wear more colour and b) it was a really good price. It’s from a brand called London Fog and this is the first article of clothing I’ve ever had from them. So far, so good!
My clothing is really neutral for this look, as you can see. I paired a simple cable knit sweater with my favourite leggings and then added the scarf as a subtle pop of colour. I choose this because it allows the colour of my coat to really stand out, and because this entire outfit is really versatile since everything is so neutral. It could easily go from school to a coffee date to a stroll in the mall without seeming out of place. This is the kind of versatility I require from my clothing (plus, everything is super stretchy = comfy, and comfy = happy!). Make your clothes work for you!
I love this outfit, and I love seeing other people’s favourite winter clothes! Feel free to share yours with me over on social media, and don’t forget to check back in on Thursday for more Divinely Devin!
Have an awesome weekend!! 🙂
